A message from me:
What a wonderful time of year is upon us. The leaves have turned bright yellow and red. They snow down from the trees and blanket the sidewalks and streets. The smell of a woody smoke is starting to kiss the air and the thoughts of the three "F" words are on our minds. Feasts, Family and Football! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and what a peculiar holiday it is. It's origin is argued. Some say it is even wrong to celebrate and that we have no right to pretend that a friendly feast was ever exchanged between "Native" and "Pilgrim." Besides a debatable history is the fact that we wait an entire month for a single day, and we slave away for an entire day for a single meal. One that lasts only mintues and leaves us rolling out of our chairs, second guessing our life decisions when a fork is in our hand and a table of goodies is in our path. Yet, with all the bizarre and interesting happenings that revolve around this holiday, it opens the door to a deeper meaning. One that doesn't need a historical foundation nor an ounce of dietary regret. And that is this, a near full month of precious time where we are reminded to turn our minds to the things we are grateful for. The big things, the little things, and all the inbetween things. To recall our minds and hearts to gratitude and to send our prayers and praises to our Father in Heaven for the many, many blessings that fill our lives. I encourage you to really contimplate this season on the little things. The personal things that only you and your Father in Heaven know were meant for you. The things that soak your soul with wonder and happiness. The things that better you, better your life, and better your testimony. And if per chance you are down and out this season and feel as though your blessings are scarce, I would ask that you think about the simple things that fill our lives with comfort and ease. The blessings that we might forget about because we are so familiar with their presence. Things like a warm shower, a flushing toilet, a book to read, a tree to climb, a trail to explore, a star to gaze at, a tear to shed, a heart to beat and all the many, small and wonderful things we should never, ever forget or take for granted. All the little blessings that equate to the proof of a precious life. And what a gift life is. I earnestly send love to you all and I hope you have a beautiful Thanksgiving Season!Â

A wonderful talk by Gordon B. Hinkley, such a powerful speaker, from the 1971 April General Conference. Don't let the date fool you, his words are just as applicable today.
A beautiful talk from this current October, 2026 General Conference given by Sister Tamara W. Runia.
